You will be able to change your captain by pressing the “Captain” icon available in a player’s profile.
You can change your captain an unlimited number of times, as long as your current captain and prospective captain are both yet to play in the current round.
Once your captain choice becomes locked (their match has kicked off), your captaincy choice will be locked and cannot be moved to another player until the round is complete.
5. Boosters
You will have 3 boosters that are available to you over the course of the tournament. Each booster can be used once for the pool stage and once for the knockout stage of the tournament giving you the opportunity to play with boosters 6 times.
You can only play one booster at a time (i.e. you cannot play your Triple Captain & Defensive King booster in the same round).
Boosters can only be applied to players who have not yet played in the round (i.e. not locked) and can be reset up until the boosted player becomes locked in that round.
A description of each booster is below:
Triple Captain – Your captain will score you triple points for their next match.
Super Kicker – The player you apply the Super Kicker booster to will score double points for the following kicking based scoring metrics in their next match (be aware that this will also double negative scores for missed kicks):

You will not be able to transfer in or out a player that is locked until the current round is complete, and the next round becomes active.
8. Lockout
Rugby World Cup 2023 Fantasy will implement a rolling lockout mechanic whereby players will become locked as soon as their team plays in the current round. This means a player is confirmed in your team for the upcoming round, and their points will contribute to your team’s scoring.
